Meet Dr. Michael Wohlmaker
Professional Background
Dr. Michael Wohlmaker brings nearly two decades of chiropractic experience to 1 Body 1 Life Chiropractic. A graduate of Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles, he has spent his career developing a comprehensive approach to patient care that addresses the whole person, not just symptoms. As a third-generation chiropractor following in the footsteps of his grandfather and uncle, Dr. Wohlmaker has chiropractic care in his DNA. Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, he has been dedicated to serving his local community throughout his career.
His credentials include Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) certification, enabling him to provide specialized care for athletes and active individuals. He’s currently pursuing additional certification in extremity adjustments through Life West, demonstrating his commitment to continuing education and expanding his expertise to better serve his patients.
During his time at Cleveland Chiropractic College, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2003 and a Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2005. He was honored to be on the dean’s list and was asked to tutor students in various courses, reflecting his dedication to both learning and teaching.
Care Philosophy
Dr. Wohlmaker takes a holistic approach to healthcare, focusing on the connection between spinal health, nutrition, and overall wellness. His practice philosophy centers on helping patients return to the activities they love through natural, non-invasive treatments that address the root causes of discomfort rather than merely masking symptoms.
My greatest satisfaction comes from changing people’s lives. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping someone who’s been in debilitating pain return to normal activities and regain their quality of life.”
This patient-first mindset informs every aspect of his practice, from the relaxed office atmosphere to his gentle adjustment techniques.
EXPLORE OUR SERVICES

Specialized Techniques
With expertise in diversified adjusting techniques and Gonstead analysis, Dr. Wohlmaker delivers precise, targeted care for each patient. He also utilizes the Arthrostim, a low-impact instrument for gentle adjustments that’s ideal for patients who prefer alternatives to traditional manual adjustments.
His focus on corrective care through Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP) reflects his commitment to long-term solutions rather than temporary relief. This approach helps restore proper spinal curvature and function, addressing the structural issues that often underlie chronic pain and recurring problems.
Personal Life
When not caring for patients, Dr. Wohlmaker enjoys an active lifestyle that reflects his professional commitment to wellness. He grew up playing baseball, football, and bowling, developing a lifelong appreciation for movement and physical fitness. He and his wife Elizabeth (who also manages the office) enjoy camping, outdoor activities, and spending time with their dogs. The couple met at The Camp Transformation Center and married in 2020. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Arts. They love exploring new destinations whenever they find free time from their clinic. Though not currently a competitive runner, he has completed a marathon in the past and continues to participate in community events like 5K races.
Dr. Wohlmaker embraces the concept of “Shoshin” (beginner’s mind) from Zen Buddhism—approaching each day and each patient with fresh perspective and openness to learning. This philosophy drives his continuous pursuit of knowledge and improved techniques to better serve his community.
Practice With Heart
Patients consistently describe Dr. Wohlmaker as genuine, approachable, and truly concerned with their well-being. Unlike high-pressure sales environments, his practice offers a relaxed atmosphere where patients feel heard and respected. His compassionate approach extends to financial considerations as well—he works with patients facing hardship to ensure they receive the care they need.
“I just want to be able to provide my services to as many people as I can,” he explains, reflecting his commitment to making quality chiropractic care accessible to everyone in the community.
